"Abjection"
To keep people content without revolution, it is necessary to keep what they perceive as their "necessities" fulfilled and allow whatever they desire to be indulged in fantasies. The short elapses of serotonin and endomorphines will placate the masses but the most determined of individuals from which nothing except the ending of their existence will serve.
The individual is not obliged nor obligated.
The common man is not bothered.
God is not compelled to care.
The needs and welfare of the people are as it is, provided by the conscience of the man who gives more than the average society will.
What is it to pray to, or give thanks to, when it is, but a man who had saved you? And by what divine intervention is it if the man by kindness and compassion is moved and pitied your state and gave a helping hand.
As Andrew Ryan has said.
" Is a Man not entitled to the Sweat of His Brow? "
